Brisbane lifts her skirts and shows off - take a peep
How many times have you wandered past one of Brisbane's many iconic buildings and wondered, "What's in there?" On Saturday October 6 you have a good chance of having your questions answered.

Old Government House

The Open House movement is a worldwide cultural phenomenon in cities as diverse as cash-strapped Barcelona and troubled Jerusalem.

Brisbane Open House is a family affair. Children are welcome to participate in a specially planned interactive program, and most buildings have access for people with disabilities. Photographers are encouraged to enter a competition to highlight Brisbane's diversity in architecture.

Free tours of many of the buildings will be conducted by volunteers. Some may require prior bookings as they have proved extremely popular venues in previous years. People wishing to volunteer for half a day have until September 26 to offer their services. All will receive training in their duties.
