Brisbane Markets-Awaken your senses
As you walk along the busy stalls here on a Saturday morning, the scents and smells waft by to entice you. Freshly baked breads, pungent cheeses, ripened on the vine fruit and vegetables. Aromatic coffee, olives, soap, fragrances of fresh flowers: all are definitely an invasion on your senses. One though that has your mouth watering and your sense of smell peaked as you flit from stall to stall sampling, tasting and taking it all in. What will you buy this morning?

With over 190 stalls here at the paved Brisbane MarketPlace., under the cover of shade sails, there is so much to choose from. Hours of operation are from 6:00am - 12:00pm every Saturday.

An assortment of meats, seafood, sausages and pizzas are all potential for dinner. Fresh produce fills table after table and has the making for that special salad you love to prepare. A delightful array of spices is on offer to help flavour all that you will cook. Fresh herbs are there for the growing if you so choose.

A bounty of fruits, slices and pavlova is found in abundance to make that mouth-watering dessert you are famous for. Topping it all off are the exotic and colourful bouquets and sprigs of flowers. The floral arranger in you will relish placing each stem in just the right position.

If you are more into gardening, punnets of bedding out plants in marigolds, alyssum, petunias and more are waiting to come home to your garden. Bromeliads, cycads, gingers, palms, agaves and a vast assortment of shrubs and plants get your creative juices flowing. There is compost as well as gardening gloves to lend you a hand.

The craftsperson in you will love all the wares on hand including well fashioned garments, hand-made blankets, baby clothes, wooden cutting boards and all things crafty. Soaps, oils and creams are also available to soothe and smooth out that skin once you have finished gardening. If you don't have a buggy to carry it all in you can purchase one of those as well.

The socialite in you will love sitting and chatting with friends and family while having coffee and goodies before you take the kids to the jumping castle and ferris wheel so they too can enjoy the market. At the same time you can be entertained with various performances going on throughout the morning.

Sunday is the day at the market for treasure hunting. Again it is open from 6:00am - 12:00pm. Collectables, new and used items, home renovation stalls and so much more await you.

Just one thing that bothered took me all the way to the bottom of this article to find out which of the various markets this one is. It's only clear from the map just above this comment panel. Would be so easy to say in the first paragraph, that it is at Rocklea. Otherwise, a good and informative article.
