On this Sunday, October 14th, a great place to go is the Brisbane Kite Festival at the Murrarie Sports Centre, on 1182 Wynnum Road at Cannon Hill. It is FREE entry and those attending will be treated to a great spectacular as kits of all shapes, colours and sizes will grace the skies in this annual festival.
The Event starts at 10 am and finishes at 4 pm. As well as the kites, there will be entertainment, food stalls and rides, so lots to do for all the family.
The Brisbane City Council (and especially Councillor Ryan Murphy – Doboy Ward) have helped the festival in many ways. The staff have 'bent over backwards' to make this day successful and BCC have even supported the Festival with a grant.
The Brisbane Kite Festival is a joint project of the combined Rotary Clubs of Balmoral, Carindale, Moreton Bay and Port of Brisbane.
The QLD Kite Flyers Society will provide the entertainment in the sky, with professional kites, stunt kites and much more!
