The world's best talent in tennis arrive in Brisbane starting December 30, for the Brisbane International, the first ATP World Tour tournament for 2013. Featuring the freshly-recovered from injury and incredible 15 time grand-slam winner Serena Williams, Aussie golden girl Samantha Stosur and some of Europe's most dominating and consistent names including Maria Sharapova, Caroline Wozniacki and current world number 1, Victoria Azarenka. The draw for the Men's draw is equally as impressive, and also features some of the best names in the sport in what's sure to be an action-packed welcome into the New Year at the Queensland tennis centre. Starting on the 30th of December, the week long tournament features singles and doubles draws across numerous courts, including the grand 'main-stage' of Pat Rafter Arena. Play is scheduled throughout the day and running into the night, with the women's Grand Final being played on Saturday January 5, and the men's final January 7.
World number 9 and Queensland local, Samantha Stosur, will headline play on New Years Eve and take centre stage as she vies to solidify her successful year, being the first Australian since Wendy Turnbull to finish inside the top ten ranking for the third year running. In a major drawcard for fans, on the men's side of the tournament Andy Murray will be looking to continue his stunning form in 2012, along with Aussie stalwart Lleyton Hewitt who is sure whip the crowd into a frenzy with his dogged energy and 'C'MON's!'

The action will continue off the court which is set to be bigger than previous years boasting a wide range of activities including being able to have a hit like Pat Rafter himself on the mini Pat Rafter Arena.
