Everything you could want to know about renovating, expanding or building is at the Courier Mail Home Show. This is Brisbane's favourite home show and it's been coming back year after year.
Held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre the show is on over four days from Thursday 26 February through to Sunday 1 March.
If you're stuck in a renovating rut or looking to fix parts of your property after all of the rain you should be at the Home Show. Think stand after stand filled with displays galore. The beauty of this show is that you don't have to drag yourself and the kids to shop after shop or spend hours on the internet. It's right here for you with real people to discuss your needs.
Over 300 leading Queensland suppliers are on hand to give advice and offer tips. The organisers recommend you bring your photos and plans so that you can have real time discussions with suppliers and tradesman about your renovation and installation ideas. If visitors want to ensure they do get time with an expert for more indepth discussions, just go on to the website, choose the specification eg. kitchen and select to "book an expert" to arrange your free 20 minute consultation in advance.
All of the new innovations in kitchens and bathrooms, interiors and exteriors, going green and going tech savvy are on show at the Home Show. Whether you're looking for the best in new tapware, or ideas on saving electricity, it's here. Aisle upon aisle of products, pamphlets and samples. You'll come out loaded up with leaflets and information with a good understanding of the latest trends and products in the market. A lot of exhibitors here also often offer home show discounts - if you buy or sign up to a product during the home show weekend then substantial reductions are offered on price.
The show offers the latest in building and construction products including backyard and swimming pool trends.
Building and renovating seminars are on throughout the weekend. Starting at 10am and running every hour they range from kitchen renovations, to renovating on a budget to growing your own garden. Cooking demonstrations are also on over the weekend, starting at 11am each day. Check the website for specific seminar or cooking demonstration times as their topics vary.

There are plenty of competitions to enter during your visit with chances to win a swimming pool, dishwasher or wine fridge, plus small competitions from individual exhibitors.
With so much to see here it's a great idea to download the app so that you can plan your visit to the best time advantage. The app is on both iPhone and android and can also be used to purchase your tickets in advance.
Tickets are $16 online or buy for a slightly higher price at the door. Children under 14 are free. The event is being held next door to the Mind Body Spirit Festival, and your purchase of a ticket to the Home Show allows entry into the MBS Festival for free.
