A tasty event for Brisbane's foodists and winos

The Good Food and Wine Show is a glutton's delight. Over 300 food and drink producers from around Australia put their wares on show, offering samples and specials on their delicious, and often novel, products.

The Brisbane leg of the show is returning to the Convention Centre from November 8-10 in 2013. From 9am to 5pm over three days, show goers will be able to taste, test and try samples of local, national and international goods, including wine, liquor, coffee, cheese, chocolate and so much more from the likes of Jalna, Maggie Beer, Yalumba Wines and even supermarket giant Woolworths. Most offer irresistible deals to go with their irresistible products so be sure to take some cash along for all your impulse purchases.

As well as the huge range of alcoholic beverages available to sample (which may necessitate public transport to and from the event), a major draw card is the large number of specialty producers on display at the show. More and more products catered to those with special dietary needs are available each year, and those with allergies, intolerances or preferences shouldn't miss the chance to explore the multitude of options out there available to them.

The entry price, which is around $25 for an adult, also includes the chance to see top chefs (this year's list includes Marion, from Masterchef fame) whip up tasty dishes at The Chopping Block, attend coffee masterclasses with Nespresso and explore amazing Australian drops at the Riedel Wine Theatre. All this on top of hundreds of free samples which will negate any need for breakfast, lunch or dinner on the day, though you may find yourself heading home with a shopping trolley loaded with gourmet goodies.

Tickets can be pre-purchased on the website or they will be available at the show on the day. For more information, to purchase tickets or explore transport options, check out the website.
