Enjoy the true wonders of France without the long flight

Le Festival 2019 presented by Le Cordon Bleu, Australia's biggest and best celebration of all things French is returning Southbank on the Cultural Forecourt (in front of QPAC's Lyric Theatre) at the following times:
Friday, 5 July from 5.00pm to 10.00pm;
Saturday, 6 July from 9.00am to 11.00pm; and
Sunday, 7 July from 9.00am to 6.00pm.

Entry is by ticket and you can save half the price of admission by going, 'Early Bird'. Jump on this link to buy your entry tickets online now and you will not only jump the queue but you'll also save time and money.

Click in and you can buy a one-day ticket or, better still, why not go Full Monty treat yourself to a 3-day pass? This is the only way to enjoy the advantages of a 3-day pass as they will not be available at the gate.

Online prices are:
3-day Pass: $15.00;
Friday, Saturday and Sunday: $5.00 per daily entry; and
Children 12 and under get in for FREE.

If you wait to pay at the gate then you will be up for:
One Day Pass: $10.00;
Students and Concessions: $5.00;
Children 12 and under will still get in for FREE; but
Three-Day Pass will not be available at the gate.

For three wonderful days you will enjoy the vigour of the can-can dancers, learn from the cooking demonstrations, join the champagne tastings and be awestruck with a visit from Napoleon's soldiers.

And what would a festival be without entertainment? From Ben Noir to Avalon Swing to can-can girls, gypsy jazz and Polynesian dancers the heart and soul of France will come to life. If it's French style you hunger for then don't miss the fashion show set for 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Discover the French designers who will be bringing you your je ne sais quoi.

However, if your hunger is more of a physical urge then Hire Republic, is presenting masterclasses designed to celebrate true French culture. The three-day program will provide opportunities to develop your inner foodie, create a watercolour masterpiece with French wine to inspire your work, acquire a knowledge of French wine, cheese and Champagne that will impress your friends and you may even make your own perfume to take home. Even the youngsters have not been left out. Le Canson Mini-Festival or Children's Village will celebrate all that is French for the young. There will be something for all the kids including activities where everyone is a winner, interactive entertainment and much, much more. With two days of fun packed events it's going to be an unforgettable French experience for the les enfants.

There's no better way to spend a winter's weekend than roaming Southbank picking and choosing from a massive variety of decadent gourmet food, traditional French beverages and, of course, beautiful French fashion.

It is truly amazing how a not-for-profit association run entirely by passionate volunteers can provide such a wonderful experience over three days. Brisbane's Le Festival 2019 presented by Le Cordon Bleu is the largest French Festival in Australia and offers a unique rendezvous where you and your friends will soak up and experience a broad range of French culture.

Better still, if you would like the opportunity to help out this wonderful venture then you can apply to join the volunteers. As a not-for-profit association organised and run entirely by volunteers Le Festival 2019 presented by Le Cordon Bleu is always most grateful of any help at this time. You become a part of the team and, when you do, receive:
Le Festival's Volunteer T-Shirt (which have now become collectables);
FREE entry to the event;
A French Baguette sandwich with cheese;
A bottle of exquisite French pure Evian water and, most of all;
A lot of recognition along with a big hug.

NB: You don't have to speak French to volunteer.
