There is plenty to do in May and it's a nice climate to be out in. Not too chilly and not too heated.

Three great events happening in May and they are;

1: Opera in the Vineyard on the 6th of May.

Who doesn't like the combination of wine and music in this type of environment! Choose the opera only, or your lunch and opera, or dinner and opera combination.

Tickets $85 (opera only) up to $210 (all day) and the other combinations in-between. Might be a bit expensive for some budgets, but if it is the style of event that you enjoy, well go on then, just treat yourself. Held at Ballandean Estates Winery and in conjunction with Stanthorpe Rotary Club.

Donations from past events have been made to charity and it is expected the same will occur this year. Full costs and entertainment details can be found here.

2: Urban Country Festival in Caboolture on between 4-7 May.

It's coming up to country time again in Caboolture with this event held each year, which is jam packed with entertainment options over the three days. Ticketed and free events are held around the three different precincts, a slightly different layout to previous years. Details on what you pay for and what is free can be found here. .

An easy PDF map reference of the precincts can be found here.

QSCE is the venue holding the ticketed events and is situated behind the showgrounds. The Village precinct is where you get 'free entry' during the whole weekend.

Camp if you like or just 'kick up your heels' for the day. Main days are the Saturday and Sunday 5th & 6th of May. Monday 7th of May, is the last day with finishing time of events at 2.00pm

3: Paniyiri Greek Festival on the 19th and 20th of May.

It's crowded, busy, noisy and colourful but that's what you come here for. Kicking off on Saturday at 12 noon and on Sunday at 10am at Musgrave Park and the Greek Club in South Brisbane.

It's $10 for adults, children free and aged pensioners $2.

It's not bad value for a day of colourful traditional festivities and with some great Greek food on offer. Parking is always a bugger in the city, however you can pay $10 and park at these spots here..

Check out the website for more info.
