The Peaks to Points Festival is a celebration of the Brisbane region's finely balanced catchment ecosystems and the community's role in protecting and caring for them. Their Family Fun Day at Oxley Creek Common will have a range of entertainment and activities including street performers, children's theatre, workshops, stalls and even a fun sound playground where you can make noise with unusual instruments.

Steam Train Sunday
Is your Dad a train buff? Then a trip on one of Queensland Rail's lovingly restored trains with a steam locomotive and vintage carriages might be the way to go this year. Steam Train Sunday trains on Fathers Day depart Roma Street Station then travel for an hour through the city and surrounds and back to Roma Street.

If Dad would prefer to have his Fathers Day breakfast on the Brisbane River rather than in bed, then Kookaburra River Queens may have what he's looking for. They also have options for lunch and dinner which include a carvery buffet meal and all the sights.

Fathers Footy and Fun Day
Here's something for footy mad fathers and their families. Corinda State School is presenting the Fathers Footy and Fun Day - a whole day of rides, stalls, demonstrations, a silent auction, games and, of course, footy at Brisbane Force Football Club at Richlands. And mums haven't been forgotten in the midst of this footy frenzy. They'll be catered for with their very own chill-out zone.

Wynnum Manly Jazz Festival
Dads who like their music smooth and swinging will enjoy the Wynnum Manly Jazz Festival this Fathers Day. Sponsored by Brisbane City Council and held at Bandstand Park, this is a free event with something for the whole family – stalls, sausage sizzles, jumping castles and plenty of great jazz entertainment.
Revving engines, petrol fumes and Aussie cars and bikes will feature at Qld Raceways All Aussie Fathers Day at Lakeside Park Raceway. Dad can cruise the track or just check out the muscle cars in the Show and Shine.
