What is Fairtrade? Fairtrade advocates for better working conditions and improved terms of trade for farmers and workers in developing countries. Fairtrade supports marginalised farmers and workers, enabling them to build a better and more secure life for themselves, their co-workers and their families. Women in developing countries face many challenges - and gender inequality is a contributing factor to most of them. Fairtrade is working to counterbalance the unfairness.
The Fairtrade Mark is the globally recognised label that adorns Fairtrade Certified products. The Fairtrade products all share the same ethos of being sustainable - either organic, Fairtrade and/or dedicated to making a positive impact in the community where they are produced. And I don't think you can ask fairer than that.
