Update March 19th 2017
"Unfortunately, due to unforeseen personal circumstances, the markets will be going on hiatus. We will let you know when we will be up and running again. Thank you for your loyalty, patience and understanding." - The Brisbane Daylight Market Team

Update December 28th 2016
The launch of the Brisbane Daylight Markets is now on Sunday 5th February instead, at Keong Park, Appleby Road, Stafford - best of all, this market will now be held on the first Sunday of every month from February onwards!

Brisbane, are you ready for the newest 'it' market around?

Brisbane-ites, are you ready? The launch of the Brisbane Daylight Markets is inching closer and closer, day by day - believe it or not, we're only about two weeks away from its launch date on Sunday, 5th February 2017! The Brisbane Daylight Markets started off as an idea that was "imagined" in early 2016, but now it's actually happening - these markets will bring together the best of Brisbane's boutique and small business offerings, and aims to provide a new platform for world-class local businesses to showcase their talents.

Did you know that 70% of small businesses are owned and operated by a single person? There is so much hard work that goes on behind the scenes that customers are not always aware of, which just lends weight to the fact that we should be buying local and supporting small businesses wherever and whenever we can. The Brisbane Daylight Markets conveniently gathers said businesses into the same venue for us, so that we don't have to go searching for them ourselves - it's a great way to learn about new businesses and perhaps find your next new favourite brand!

The Brisbane Daylight Markets will be held at Keong Park in Stafford. The event kicks off at 9am and will keep going until 2pm - unlike most markets which end before lunchtime, the Brisbane Daylight Markets will allow those who want to sleep in to sleep in, without missing out on the action.

Currently, there are already 30 confirmed stalls - with applications for stalls still open, you can expect there to be more on the day! Here is a sneak peak of some already confirmed stalls that will be showcasing their talent on the day:

Thicket Designs - henna art and all sorts of other creations
Emma Louise Decor - 100% natural hand-poured vegan soy candles & melt
Wild Leaf Botanicals - skincare, bath & body products, and essential oils
Oils by Mr and Mrs P - crystal beads essential oils = #beadsandblends
Ivy & Wood Mason Jar Candles - handpoured 100% natural soy candles in mason jars
Urban Swagman - small batch, natural soap, cologne, and beard oil
Evie B Paperie - beautiful handmade foil prints (fully customisable)
Dana Borthistle - cute accessories for your home
Rocket and Rose Homewares - handcrafted luxe concrete planters

There will also be live music courtesy of the extremely talented Maddie McHugh - Maddie has performed for over 5 years, played over 100 gigs, entertained at over 20 weddings, and has spent over 40 hours in the recording studio, while still managing to complete her Bachelor of Music specialising in performance. Now if that isn't talent, then I'm not sure what is! Follow her on Instagram to see snippets of her performances - you won't be disappointed.
