Suggestions for bored couples

Getting a little bored with dinner and movie dates with your partner? Add some novelty to your weekends and couple nights with these ideas for dates around Brisbane:

1. Go garage sale hunting together Search Gumtree for garage sales in your area and see what treasures you can find in other people's trash.
2. Go to the drive-in movies at the Yatala Drive-in Movie Theatre.
3. Do a movie marathon at the South Bank, Balmoral, Hawthorne or Victoria Point. Cineplex-for $8 a ticket you can afford to see at least three in a row.
4. Drive up Mt cootha at night to see the city lights.
5. Find a restaurant that does degustations and treat yourself to ten courses or more of deliciousness.
6. Put on your walking shoes and go bush walking. Mt Cootha is minutes from the city or go further afield to the Glasshouse Mountains.
7. Try indoor or outdoor rock climbing.
8. Head to The Scratch in Milton with some BYO takeaway for craft beer, cider spiders and scrabble.
9. Scour realestate.com for open houses in the ritziest Brisbane suburbs and go along to see how the other half lives.
10. Enjoy a picnic in the city botanic gardens.
11. Go strawberry picking and take your berries home to make something delicious.
12. Visit one of Brisbane's many weekend farmers markets to pick up ingredients for a romantic dinner or picnic made from local ingredients.
13. Go Ice skating at the Acacia Ridge or Boondall Iceworld.
14. Take a city cycle bike ride along the Brisbane River.
15. Take a ghost tour of Brisbane historical sites.
16. Skip dinner and just get dessert at one of Brisbane's great dessert bars - (Mud Dessert Bar, 16th on Park and Freestyle Tout).
17. Try free salsa dancing classes in the city.
18. Feed each other chocolate fondue at Max Benner or San Churro in South Bank.
19. Get pancakes at Pancake Manor at 3am.
20. Visit The Great Aussie Sweet Shop in Southbank and make yourself sick together eating jaffa balls, cloud lollies and fantails.
21. Join the global trend of love padlocking and find a spot on one of Brisbane's many bridges to lock your everlasting love to (not a first date activity guys).

22. Grab a gourmet breakfast at Southbank before work with $2 parking before 9am.
23. Relive your childhood and spend a day at a Gold Coast theme park.
24. Ride a ferry from start to finish and play I Spy or make up stories for everyone else who gets on the ferry. Jump off somewhere interesting for lunch.
25. Get tipsy on wine samples at the Good Food and Wine Show.
