There will be no shortage of Xmas events and spectacles and it seems the season is well and truly under way so here are a few of the events, for you to add to your calendar, which you can look forward to over the next few weeks in Brisbane. Most of these events are free and are open to all.
4-9pm in King George Square – stalls to delight one and all.
12th December Murri Xmas
SLQ Cultural Precinct 10 am to 12 pm Enjoy a cultural indigenous celebration.
11- 20th December Myer Christmas Parade and Pantomime.
Queen St Mall and King George Square. 6.30 pm
Enjoy the Myer Parade and Panto with performers and floats and Santa and his reindeer. The parade will run from 6.30 pm daily starting at Edward St in the Mall and ending up with the panto in Kind George Square. The children will love this.
12 December IGA Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols
5.00pm – 9.15 pm
At Riverstage, City Botanic Gardens, singers and entertainers will be there to sing traditional carols and entertain you.
11th to the 24th December The Gold Lotto City Hall Light Spectacular
At 7.30 pm and every fifteen minutes the City Hall will be lit up with the final act of the Nutcracker story. Don't miss the spectacle.
17th to the 21st December Christmas Fireworks Spectacular
8.15pm nightly at the Clem Jones Promenade on South Bank.
17th to the 21st of December Christmas Cinema Screenings
South Bank Streets Beach
6.30pm and 8.30pm. Enjoy Brisbane's balmy nights with screenings of old and new family favourites for the whole family to enjoy. Bring a picnic and a rug and have fun watching on the beach.
31st December 2015 New Years Eve Firework Spectacular at South Bank
8.30 pm for the young ones and a later midnight show.
These events are free for all the family to enjoy. Concerts, art workshops and other events, are also available which may be ticketed.
