Have a Cracking Good Time

It has happened in London. It's happened in Manchester and it's about to happen in Brisbane. Like other cities around the world, Brisbane will celebrate that tender, crunchy, delicious little snack that is the chicken nugget at its very own Chicken Nugget Festival.
An array of traditional and spicy nuggets and a nugget burger with a selection of the all-important dipping sauce will be yours for the taking. Over 2 days, sample nuggety delights from vendors including:
Cycho's Buffalo Wings Phatboys Truck Bellies Hot Chicken King of the Wings and more.
The festival will be held on 26 May at the Bowen Hills Beer Bar in Gregory Terrace.
If you are a fan of this humble, fried treat, you have University research to thank. Apparently, the chicken nugget was invented in the 1950s by Robert C. Baker, a food science professor at Cornell University in New York, who created the "Chicken Crispie".
To truly appreciate his invention, get along to the Chicken Nugget Festival this May. Oh, and pups are welcome to come along too.
