3 Brisbane Bushfire Fundraising Concerts

Brisbane's local art and creative community is banding together to raise funds for those affected by the bushfires with music concerts being held at The Tivoli, The Zoo and The Triffid.



The Triffid will be hosting their own bushfire fundraiser, From Brissy With Love- A Bush Fire Relief on Sunday January 19th 2020. Newstead's, The Triffid will be donating 100% of all profits to Fire Relief First Nations Communities affected by the fires, NSW RFS, VIC RFS and WIRES. The Triffid has contacted their own local creative talent and have put together a fantastic lineup, that includes Alex the Astronaut, Melbourne based artist and musician Kira Puru, The Grates, the sensational Thelma Plum and Brisbane based Tia Gostelow, along with MC Mel Buttle to keep things moving along. Doors officially open at 5pm but if you want to come early, Mojo Webb will be kicking off the afternoon in The Triffid garden with live music from 2pm. Raffle tickets are available for purchase along with some incredible prizes to be won including a signed electric guitar from all artists, an accommodation package and merchandise packages. The good people at The Tivoli have called on the big guns to raise much-needed funds for the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Appeal, WIRES – The NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Emergency Services and The First Nations Fire Relief Fund. On Saturday January 25th The Tivoli will be hosting Raise Em Up- Brisbane Bushfire Fundraiser to assist those battling on the frontline. The concert features Megan Washington, Matt Corby, The Kite String Tangle, NGAIIRE, Robin Jones (The Middle East), The RIOT, Asha Jefferies, DJ Ancient Bloods, The Motus Project, YT Dingo, along with MC's and raffles. All ticket, bar, merchandise profits along with profits from Thai Tasty Food Truck will be donated 100% towards the bushfires. This event is sponsored by Aryga PR, Streetscape Advertising, Rydges Fortitude Valley and Thai Tasty Food Truck. Fortitude Valley's The Zoo is hosting a benefit show on Saturday January 25th called Band Together – A Fundraiser For Wildlife and First Nations. The aim of the music concert is to raise much-needed funds to non-profit wildlife and First Nations organisations. The music line up so far includes Regurgitator, Dicklord, Sixfthick, Being Jane Lane and The Gutter Birds, along with charity raffles, merchandise from local businesses and Australian bands. Additional games, activities and prizes will be announced as time draws close to the benefit, but at the moment The Zoo and OZtix have donated their venue and booking fee towards the cause. If this isn't enough to encourage you to come along to The Zoo, even the poster art has been donated by the talented Natty B.
