Barbeque fans unite
Barbies, Barbeques, BBQs. No matter what you call them, we Aussies love them. The Brisbane BBQ Festival is back and it is bigger and better, on Saturday 27 July and Sunday 28 July, from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm each day. You know that 10,000 people can't be wrong - that's how many people visited over a weekend last. The festival was sold out for the last four years, so don't wait too long to get your tickets.

There will be 20 food sites, all who are passionate about barbeques and can serve large volumes of food to minimise waiting times. Vendors include a range of BBQ and non-BBQ stalls, both indoors and outdoors.

There will be a fully licensed bar for the over 18s with beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.

As well as enjoying the BBQ competition, there will be plenty of entertainment including live music, a chilli eating contest, mechanical bull rodeo contest (yeeha!) and BBQ master classes. Children are catered for too. In fact, the festival is very family friendly: kids under 12 years old are admitted for free and there will be a dedicated Kids' Area with various activities for the little ones.
