The Brisbane Basket Brigade send presents and food parcels to underprivileged families in and around Brisbane at Christmas. To help raise money for both presents and food they have a charity movie event on August 8 at New Farm Cinemas.
For the wonderful low price of $25 you get a beer or wine, candy, lucky door prize and get to see Tom Cruise fight the Rogue Nation in the movie whose grammar is almost more impossible than the mission: Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. Though if you like you can add a 5 in there somewhere to and just call it Mission Impossible 5.
This movie looks exiting. Now the Mission: Impossible IMF team are fighting a group called the Rogue Nation who have been setup to combat the IMF. An Anti-IMF as they say in the trailer. This mission apparently involves hanging on to the outside of planes, riding motorbikes, explosions, gadgets, falling off tall buildings, martial arts, wanton acts of mayhem and probably a lot of Tom Cruise running. There will probably be some sort of amazing plot twist to blow our mind (hopefully).
You can watch the latest trailer here .
So the movie looks good and the charity is great and well worth supporting. The Brisbane Basket Brigade is not the IMF but their mission is in no way impossible if we are there to support them for their fundraising events and their annual present wrapping event.
If you can't get to the movie event or just don't like watching Tom Cruise run, then you can still visit their
Facebook page to watch out for other upcoming events and support this growing Brisbane based charity.
