Australia's most important national day, in memory of the Australian and New Zealand forces who served and died in the wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations during the First World War.

This year the parade starts at 10am on Thursday 25th of April, starting at the corner of George and Elizabeth streets in Brisbane city.

The parade continues down George Street, turning right into Adelaide Street and then right again into Creek Street. However please note that the army will turn left at Creek Street, into Ann Street, towards the main railway station.

It can certainly be an emotional time for many present at the parade as strong memories and connections to the war are remembered. However the 'spirit' of Anzac represents the great in human qualities, the courage, the mateship and the sacrifices, so important and relevant in the representation of national identity.

The order of the March can be found by linking into this document .

As a gesture, how about making and taking some Army biscuits (ANZAC biscuits) with you on the day, and perhaps with the thought of sharing some around. For a good easy recipe link into the baking method for Anzac wafers supplied by Arnotts Biscuits , or the actual biscuits, which can be found here - an original recipe, supplied by Bob Lawson.
