Bringing up children can be challenging. This course has been developed from an Evidence Based Program by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services.

Some introspection will be involved. You will have an opportunity to delve into your childhood experiences and relate this awareness to how you parent your own children. Further exploration will give you the accesses to promoting a stable and healthy environment for your children to not just grow, but to flourish.



Topics cover the objectives of the department, which include:

** •discussing your own parenting style and how your own style can be used more effectively.
  • identifying which and what important messages you want to convey to your children and how best to do this.
  • listening and understanding your children.
  • overcoming obstacles.
  • teaching kids how to be resourceful and find support when they require it.
  • identifying and developing strategies to cope when under time or pressure.**

  • The course will happen four times, the first being in March, then June, September and November. It comprises of 3 sessions of four hours each over a 3 week period.
