Bring It On - The Musical

I'm sexy. I'm cute. I'm popular to boot.

Bring It On The Musical is due to stick a perfect landing here in Perth from August 8th for a limited season, so grab your pom poms and make sure you book your ticket before they all sell out.

The biggest thing about the year 2000 wasn't Y2K but the release of Bring It On, the now cult-classic film about a group of cheerleaders, starring Kristen Dunst. And while the hysteria about the Millennium bug proved short-lived, Bring It On has since made the quantum leap to Broadway Musical, with the highly nominated success heading to Perth from 8th-18th August.

Tickets go on sale at 11am on Thursday May 9th via https://bringitonthemusical.com.au/

I'm wanted, I'm hot. I'm everything you're not

Bring It On the Musical is a must-see for anyone who remembers spirit fingers, spanky pants and cheerocracies.

The fun of the movie has been delivered some serious mega-star backing from a team that includes Tony Award-winning writer Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt and Broadway lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity).

And while the musical isn't exactly the same story as the movie, it has already proven its merit with a Tony Award nomination for Best Musical, a raft of Green Room nominations and an extended, sell-out debut season on Broadway.

I'm pretty, I'm cool. I dominate this school

Bring It On would be nothing without mind-blowing, high-flying acrobatic stunts, and the musical looks set to deliver, with world-class cheerleading champions making up part of the cast.

Australian director Alister Smith says "It's a phenomenally demanding show requiring an incredible amount of stamina, so our cast need to be able to sing, dance and act whilst also performing some impressive cheerleading stunts".

Bring It On The Musical will premiere at His Majesty's Theatre in Perth. Tickets ($89.90 - $119.90) go on sale Thursday May 9th with the Perth season running from August 8th to 18th.

Personally, I can't wait. Bring it on!
