When the wind blows - this is the place to be if you are a kite surfer. Brighton, near Sandgate, is an extremely popular spot for this sport. After work on a windy day or anytime over a windy weekend people, kites and spectators gather here. Generally, the most popular spot is down around Nineteenth Avenue. If the time is right, you can come in the morning and bring a picnic or have a BBQ.

If you haven't tried this sport and would like to give it a go, try getting in touch with Bris Kites at Brighton at www.briskites.com.au or
phone 3269 1034. Alternatively Brisbane Kite School at www.brisbanekiteschool.com or phone 3284 1186
