Sunday afternoon, the sun is shining and I'm sitting back relaxing with a cocktail whilst soaking in the atmosphere. A lovely way to unwind. What is even more fabulous about this scene is that I'm 83 metres above sea level, yet I'm near the city. The added bonus of this alfresco, terrace dining is the magnificent views of the city, which take in the Harbour Bridge and surrounds. The location is the newly refurbished Brigade Rooftop Bar at The Light Brigade in the heart of Woollahra.
A beautiful location day and night - during the day, alfresco dining is the best, especially when the sun is shining but even if it's a little cooler, there is the added benefit of heating and throws for your lap. If you linger a little longer, why not take the opportunity to view the sunset. Then when the sun has gone down, the city glistens under the night lights. Why not experience the best of both, come up late afternoon for a cocktail, watch the sun go down, then stay for the city lights and enjoy a delicious meal from the extensive menu! If you have not tried the wood fired "puff" bread - I highly recommend you do, not only does it taste delicious it looks so good too. Team this up with a selection of antipasti. Other delectables on the menu include speciality wood fired pizza, burgers and pub food favourites - schnitty & chips, parma and chips, fish and chips, just to name a few!
There is plenty of opportunity for you to try any or all of these delicacies with these wonderful weekly specials:-
I tried the Light Breeze cocktail, as there was a light breeze up on the rooftop the day I visited and thought it was an appropriate choice and it was a good choice!
