Bringing families and cultures for a fun event
Do you remember the stories told by our ancestors of how small townships built and fostered growth within their community, with the goal to prosper their town to a healthy financial future? Logan City is a community of diverse cultures which s continually striving to provide a rich culture for current residents and generations to come.

On Friday 23rd March 2018, the Mabel Park State High School is hosting "Bridging Cultures Festival". This festival hopes to give an opportunity for young, old and new residents to come together to enjoy all Logan has to offer. Commencing at 2.00pm and running through to 8.00pm, regular shuttle buses will be offered to get you to the festival and home again and if you are planning to drive, street and on-site parking is available on Paradise Road, Slacks Creek.

This event is being held as part of Australia's annual Harmony Day Celebrations. During the course of the event, live music and performances will be showcased for the audience's enjoyment along with art displays, sports activities, a petting zoo, face painting, rides for the children and prizes. A fee of $5.00 will give each child unlimited rides. Later in the evening, fireworks will be organised for everyone's delight.

Settled in 1842 by Europeans, Logan City is now one of the largest and fastest growing cities in Australia with 217 ethnicities represented. 65.8% of Logan's population were born in Australia and 77.8% of households speak only English at home.
