Did you know that Western Australia dedicates one week of the year to beer? Of course, it does. And that it's not actually a week, but 11 days from Thursday, 20th June to Sunday, 30th June? Wouldn't have expected anything less.
WA Beer Week celebrates all the things we love about the amber ale through fun events. These events include the highly anticipated - a fantastic way to cap off WA Beer Week by burning some extra beer calories and giving to charity.
Taking place on Sunday, June 30th from 9:30am and hosted by Victoria Park's Dutch Trading Co, Bridges to Beer is $15 to enter (plus any booking fees that may apply), with proceeds going to the Huntington's Disease Foundation.
Starting at McCallum Park, the route will take you on an 8km looping run along the Swan River and the Causeway, and finishing at the Dutch Trading Co. Here you can wrap your lips around a refreshing beer to celebrate completing the run.
You can run as a solo participant, or as a group. This year, WA breweries are encouraged to get a team together - there are prizes for the first placed brewery, first place solo runner and for "Brewery Wooden Spoon" (that means you came last. Someone has to!)
is a fantastic way to enjoy the end of WA Beer Week, engage with the craft beer community, get into a bit of team rivalry and banter, and have fun while raising funds for a good cause.
You can purchase solo tickets
