LEGO heaven for all ages
Bricks n Fun
When my six year old son walked into Bricks n Fun, he found himself in LEGO heaven. The LEGO speciality store and play centre, located in Capalaba, is a great place for LEGO lovers of all ages. Open 7 days a week the store has a LEGO build room, Duplo corner, a huge LEGO display, a speciality shop and even a seated area where parents can enjoy a coffee.
The LEGO display is located in the build room at the back of the store. It has moving trains, high rise buildings, busy streets, and even a LEGO theme park. You'll find LEGO characters from Toy Story, Cars, Star Wars, all sorts of superheroes and many others in this LEGO city. Every time you look you'll see something new.
Who Will You Find?
High Rise Buildings
You'll See Something Different Every Time
There is also an impressive LEGO Star Wars collection on display and famous buildings from around the world including, the Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal. There is a Lord of the Rings display case and lots of other prebuilt LEGO models. It's impossible to list them all here.
The Eiffel Tower and Taj Mahal
My son's eyes lit up when he saw it all. He loved pointing everything out to me and his excitement was infectious. If you just want to visit the LEGO display, without building, you can. It's $3.50 per person and under 5's are free with a paying adult.
LEGO Build Room
The LEGO build room is located in the same room as the LEGO displays. The building sessions are for anyone over the age of 5 years. For a 1 hour session it's $8.50 and $16 for 2 hours. This price also includes seeing all of the LEGO displays. BRICKS n FUN also caters for parties. Check out their website for LEGO build session times and bookings www.bricksnfun.com.au.
Lots of Kits to Choose From
My son tried out a 1 hour session. For this he got to choose which LEGO kit he wanted to build. There was lots of choice including, Ninjago, Chima, City, Galaxy, Friends, Star Wars, Batman, TMNT, and Cars. This was to name just a few. My son decided to put together a LEGO TMNT Stealth Shell in Pursuit kit. He was given a tray to keep all of his pieces together and within an hour he had followed the LEGO instructions and created his model. There were also lots of bigger kits that take under two hours to build.
My Little Boy's Creation
For children under the age of 5 years, there is a small DUPLO corner. This is located in the front of the store. The cost is the same as the build room and is perfect for those waiting for their older siblings. There is a seated area located right next to it, so parents can have a beverage while their kids play. This isn't a large coffee shop but you can certainly get what you need while you wait for your children. It was great for me to relax with a coffee while my son had fun in the build room.

After all of that LEGO fun, the shop at the front of the store caters for all LEGO fans. It sells old, newly released and rare LEGO kits. It provides both mail order and layby, and loyalty cards get you an extra 10% off your goods at any time of the year.
Buy Old, New and Rare LEGO Kits
My son definitely wants to go back to BRICKS n FUN. He had so much LEGO fun and I don't mind admitting that I did too. For more information on BRICKS n FUN visit www.bricksnfun.com.au.
