One warning for this walk. Don't go into it cold. Do your research. Look at the pictures before you decide to go.

If you're afraid of heights don't even bother.

You're literally walking on a constructed ring 18 and a half meters above the earth. It's wheelchair accessible, but you'll have to leave your bike behind or walk it. Here's why.

This metal construction sways in the breeze. Not a great deal. But it is noticeable.

Built on a quarry salvaged from the Sydney Olympic Park wrecking ball by the Green and Golden Bell Frog. The wetlands here provide the perfect habitat to conserve these species. And the towering construction provides the perfect vantage point to spy one of these endangered creatures.

There is a historical aspect to this walk too. Panels displaying history of the area. Soundscapes portraying life on the quarry. Sculpture of rustic artifacts creating a pleasing juxtaposition between the old and the new.

At just over half a kilometre round this is a brisk start to your daily exercise routine. Particularly if you aren't fond of heights and the adrenaline is pumping. Why not follow it up with one of these nearby walks!
