Brickman: Wonders of the World Exhibition – Sydney

Certified LEGO professional Ryan McNaught has been at it again building those colourful bricks into epic masterpieces. His latest exhibition, Wonders of the World, showcases history through icons centuries old and merges with the present in the brand new International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.

Spending almost 5,000 hours putting this collection together, the 7 Wonders of the World have turned into over 50 awe-inspiring wonders that are fully interactive. Some of mankind's most amazing achievements from around the globe are now on show with information panels giving you the opportunity to learn about the real attraction as well as the details of its LEGO counterpart.

Take a journey through Europe with creations of London's Big Ben, Paris's Arc De Triomphe, Italy's Leaning Tower of Pisa and Moscow's St Basil's Cathedral before heading to the Great Wall of China in Asia and onto the U.S. with Mount Rushmore and the Empire State Building, complete with King Kong. Every model is brand new and more detail has gone into them than any of Ryan's past creations.

LEGO fanatics can get involved in this immersive exhibition through building the surrounds of the masterpieces. Ryan has so many activities for you. Help out by building the cars to make the traffic jam around the Arc De Triomphe or create a statue of yourself to go alongside the LEGO replica of Michelangelo's Statue of David. There's loads of possibilities to set your imagination free.

Allow at least 90 minutes to get around the exhibition in this striking new venue opposite Tumbalong Park. With its contemporary design, leading technology and multi-purpose spaces, step-free access in every entertainment section provides for those with mobility issues. Other features include a grand ballroom, a premier red carpet theatre and an outside event deck with bar and lounge. Access to the site is easy with several modes of transport available, from ferries to buses and light rail. A car park is complete with lift access.

Tickets for the exhibition are available through Ticketek or at the door. Adults are $35 per person whilst children 4-16years are $25 each. Family passes (for 4) are $95. Under 4's are free.
