New LEGO Fan Event in the Barossa

Brick Barossa is a new LEGO® fan event and will be held for the first time in the Barossa region on 16th and 17th of July, 2016. It will be hosted in Lyndoch by the St Jakobi Lutheran School Parents and Friends Association.

Exhibitors from Southern Bricks LEGO Users Group will amaze visitors with their intricate displays and unique creations.

In addition to a main exhibition area in the 'Valley of Hope Centre', dedicated, themed areas providing lots of fun will focus on:
1. Star Wars
2. Mosaics
3. Technic
4. Lego sculptures/ replicas
5. Remote control play
6. Mindstorms robotics

Children, and indeed, fans of all ages, will enjoy the large, interactive, hands-on play areas. These will include remote control monster trucks, EV3 Mindstorms robotics and race your own mini car.

Other attractions will include a lucky dip, a raffle and a wide variety of LEGO kits on sale. Lunch, coffee and donuts will be available. There will also be a free jumping castle for the kids.

Additional displays and exhibits will be warmly welcomed and applications are now open for potential exhibitors who would like to take part in the Brick Barossa LEGO Fan Event. Details and an application form are provided on the Brick Barossa website Exhibitors page.

Children from 5-12 years of age who love LEGO, will be able to enter the Brick Barossa competition for a chance to win some great prizes. Entries need to be submitted by 5pm on Tuesday 12th of July 2016. Full details of the competition and an entry form are available from the Brick Barossa website competition page.

A special feature of Brick Barossa will be the provision of a Sensory Friendly session for families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Sunday 8:30am entry time will have low volume music and announcements, and reduced visitor numbers until 9.00am, from when numbers and noise will steadily increase.

Tickets for Brick Barossa will be made available on the 1st of April 2016 via the online ticketing site, Try Booking. While some tickets will be available at the gate (for sessions not previously sold out) the purchase of online tickets is encouraged to prevent disappointment, as a limited number of tickets will be available. The tickets will be sold for staggered entry times to prevent overcrowding and to give everyone the chance to see the displays and enjoy themselves.

Single Ticket – $12 online ($15 at gate)
Children (3-17) & Concession Tickets – $10 online ($12 at gate)
Family Ticket (2 adults, 3 children) – $44 online ($59 at gate)
Free entry for children under 3 years of age.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. All adults require a ticket to enter (unless they have a carer's card).
