Life is about the journey - some roads are not always what they seem but you sure learn a great deal from them!
There are many creative people in this world who offer us the opportunity to visually appreciate something seen from another person's perspective. A painting that stands in exhibit is often the result of years of work, together with using premium material to ensure a premium piece of art.
When I strolled through the Gomboc Gallery, found on James Road in Middle Swan, I began to fully appreciate the extent this artist has gone through to achieve some amazing pieces of work. Some of his work reminds me of the famous Salvador Dali, who created an abstract impression of his view of the world.
Besides his oils on canvas, Taylor also exhibits the ability to sculpt the human form. It is rare for artists to exhibit a range of skills, however Brian Richard Taylor seems to exhibit these skills with ease.
Anyone can view his work at the Gomboc Gallery, until 27 April 2014, which is also known for its Sculpture Park. I can assure you that your time will not be wasted as this is the hub to Swan Valley's Café mecca.
Many of the artists I spoke to about Brian's work have expressed how rare it is to have an artist exhibit such exceptional skill in today's world. I was given the impression that this is one of the next great artists to grace Western Australia, and for the few who can purchase his work, they have a rare opportunity to possess a masterpiece. After all, it was only after the passing of Salvador Dali and Picasso that their paintings began to reach exorbitant value.
