Just when you thought trail running couldn't get any better, try throwing in the stunning scenery of the Mornington Peninsula, add a great bunch of local volunteers, some pretty cool prizes and if you like beer, well then chances are your recovery drink of choice will be one of the finest Mornington Peninsula Brewery's award winning ales enjoyed on the lawns of the Pig and Whistle whilst overlooking the bay.

In an event that started last year as a birthday trail run between breweries on the Peninsula (for event organiser Deb Sharp) with 40 of her closest friends, has now turned into an official event with hundreds already signed up.



With two distances available, the 10k course offers a perfect entry level event for those new to trail running, or wanting to simply enjoy the spectacular scenery and soak up the silliness that only this event can provide.

The 21km course offers even more with some technical difficulty in terms of climbing and negotiating the terrain, perfect for the wild at heart.

This event is my old stomping ground, having lived a few hundred meters from the start line for over 15 years I can guarantee these trails won't disappoint and I will certainly be standing at the start line.

Entry is limited to 400 runners so If you think this run is for you get in quick. Entry is $60 for the 10km and you receive a cool medal and a pot of beer and $75 for the 21km which includes a medal and a pint. What's included for free is many laughs, great stories and many new trail running buddies.
