There's nothing like losing your job at a brewery to make you create a Fringe comedy show about the liquid you dearly love: beer.

Blake Willoughby, stand-up comedian, takes the audience at Mr Griffiths Alibis & Libations through his passion for hops, in his show Brewed Thoughts: Consummate Professional on now at the 2017 Melbourne Fringe Festival until 29 September. Book your tickets here .

Your ticket includes three full beers, handpicked by Blake, the 'Consummate Professional' who also drinks through the show whilst dispelling essential beer facts, beer gods, even poetry from Edgar Allan Poe to a theme of 'The Benny Hill Show'. Designated driver tickets are also available (i.e. no beer included).

On opening night, we consumed an 'Inoffensive Pale Ale' 'Contradiction Black IPA' and the 'Cathartic Honey Brown Ale' all with specially made labels with unique single horned beasts. Very Fringe!

My favourite was the 'Cathartic Honey Brown Ale', a molasses driven stout, which would go perfectly with the 'Hoser Boy' poutines (i.e. fries, house-made cheese curds and gravy, bacon, maple syrup, cracked black pepper) from the Mr Griffiths kitchen and 'Buffalo Chicken'.

Brewed Thoughts: Consummate Professional is the perfect show for you and your mates to sit back, sip on a brew, unwind from the North Korean crisis and other world problems, and die happy and hoppy.
