Event:
Team work & perseverance required
Take the plunge this summer to test yourself and challenge others in Breaststrokeathon, a six-hour team breaststroke relay.

Held on Sunday 1 December, Breaststrokeathon is an unbelievably exciting fundraising event that will have your heart pumping, legs madly kicking, arms wildly swinging and splashing towards the finish line. Participants can choose to race at Arena Joondalup or Challenge Stadium and must be in teams of two to four people.

100% of the funds raised will go to Breast Cancer Care WA, who relies on the benevolence of the Western Australian community to provide people affected by breast cancer the support, be it emotional, practical and financial, they require to overcome their challenges. All of their services are free of charge and are catered for individual needs.

Teams must be at their chosen venue from 8am and once the race begins, one team member must be swimming at all times during this six-hour race. Each team must also reach the fundraising minimum of $1000 (or you'll have to pay the difference) to take part in this awesome race.

Accept this ultimate challenge now by registering online for $50 per person which entitles you to a fabulous race pack with useful fundraising tips, a seven-day fitness pass and a stylish Breaststrokeathon swim cap on the day.

Of course, there will be brilliant prizes for you to take home should your team become the highest fundraiser so don't stop when you get to $1,000! Ask your friends, email your colleagues, call your family, or even message all your Facebook friends. Just do whatever you can to fundraise to the max. What's more, prizes will also be given to the team with the most laps swum and the team with the best team spirit. So have you got what it takes?

This is an amazing event for competent and confident swimmers and it's also a wonderful opportunity for families to be part of the action together. However, if you're busy on the day, but would still like to be involved then you can donate directly to Breast Cancer Care WA or sponsor someone you know taking part in Breaststrokeathon.

So register now because the sooner you register, the sooner you start fundraising and the more you can fundraise. For more information on this event, please see their website.
