Original Artworks from Emerging Artists Give Hope
Artists' works will be for sale at Ambush Gallery.
Blank canvasses have been transformed by some of Sydney's established, emerging and student artists depicting the theme "Hope", epitomised by the yellow daffodil of the Cancer Council of NSW logo. These works represent each artist's unique view of what hope is all about and they are being displayed at the inaugural 'Breakthrough Art Festival 2016' this May.
Hundreds of artworks, ranging from pastels to photos and oils, are as individual as the artists themselves. Each anonymously hung piece sells at $150 with proceeds going to the Cancer Council of NSW. These fundraising proceeds will assist with the millions of dollars required to fund research into curing cancers.
So, art enthusiasts, aficionados, or even just everyday art lovers, come along and browse artworks that give more than just beauty, they give the hope of a breakthrough. The exhibition is being held at Chippendale's award-winning Ambush Gallery in Central Park Sydney, also known as "the living mall".
Opening night is Thursday 12 May. Exhibition continues Friday 13 through to Sunday 15 May at Ambush Gallery, Level 3 Central Park, 28 Broadway, Chippendale. Times Thursday 12 May - 6.30pm-9.00pm Friday 13 May - 10.00am-9.00pm Saturday 14 May - 10.00am-6.00pm
Sunday 15 May - 10.00am-6.00pm
