Breaking Dawn (The Twilight Saga) - Book Review

Could it get anymore horrid? To be fair I finished this series within the week. Not because it was such a great read or that I loved the characters or even the plot. I read the books purely to procrastinate from studying for my final exams. I got these books on the recommendation of a friend of mine; might I say that these were a complete waste of money.

So after reading 4 books I still don't understand why Bella would make a snap decision on leaving behind her friends and family whom she loves dearly just to be with a guy who creepily stalked her from the day they met. I just think this book is giving young impressionable girls the wrong impression and fantasy. Aside from that it just doesn't make any sense that a vampire could have children! And the imprinting thing that Jacob does with Bella's daughter is a little creepy. She's a baby. It's a little twisted for my liking.

I however, did have high hopes for this book where it hinted that there were going to be some action scenes in the middle of the book. But was highly disappointed when the writer used "its all a vision" line on me. It's just like that rule I had when I was a kid in school where the teacher tells me never to end the story with it was just a dream. Her style of writing is really simple to read but her characters needed a lot of work.

I love vampire novels and I genuinely love most of what's out there. But this one stumped me. Like, why is Edward hot? He didn't have any personality aside from glaring. What was Bella's role? All she did was gush on about how hot Edward was. I feel like she's just like those characters in movies where there's a super hot girl who doesn't have lines; there was no purpose.

For those of you whom haven't read this series I don't recommend it because there's an amazing amount of great vampire novels out there.
