Impromptu adventuring, exploring our backyard and then putting pen to paper, hoping to entice you to try one, if not all, of our escapades, is my true reward!
Begin your day with songs from the rainforest
Early mornings is usually the best time of the day to enjoy the collective sounds of many of the Sunshine Coast rainforest birds, within the sub-tropical rainforest of the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. With a little patience, these gorgeously colourful feathered wonders of Nature can be closely observed.

The Breakfast with the Birds: Guided Bird Walks are limited to twelve people per walk, so as to maximise the opportunity of actually spotting one of the local 'stars' of this remnant rainforest. Don't forget to bring along a pair of binoculars. Tickets are only $5.50 and booking is absolutely essential.
After enjoying the diverse songs of the rainforest and working up an appetite from your morning sightings, why not pop in at the Mountain View Cafe for breakfast. This totally new venue provides one of the Sunshine Coast's most panoramic views towards the Glass House Mountains and is housed within the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. Please note that the breakfast cost is NOT included in the guided walk ticket price.
