Greek style breakfast
A nice little spot I tried out for breakfast was The Village located in Beaumont Street, Hamilton. The food range for breakfast is definitely for people looking for wholesome fresh choices. The selection is fantastic, and they really know how to showcase the humble egg, may I add.
We had the goat cheese, spinach and mushroom omelette, truffled mushrooms with spinach served on sour dough and a poached egg, and the kids shared their home made bake beans and poach eggs. The food was delicious and we felt the quantities were just right. The choices available for breakfast are enough to satisfy any hunger diner and the food was made available very quickly. The coffee was smooth and well-made and they have a $2.00 deal on coffee during special times of the day, which is fantastic.
The Village serves up Greek styled food, and the lunch and dinner menu is very impressive. The cost is a little pricey, but well worth it. I love the décor and the service was great as we were greeted as soon as we walked through the front doors and ushered to a corner table which was roomy for the four of us.
There are toilet facilities in the car park, which can be accessed through a back door. The Village is family and pram friendly and there is a change table is available in the toilets. This place is a great spot to try out local Greek cuisine and the great friendly service.
