The
Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is back, plating up 17 days of deliciousness from 27 February to 15 March. If you're prone to a little over-indulgence, or if like many of us, you're a bit behind on your 'new year, new you' health and fitness goals,
Breakfast Around the Tan Presented by Diabetes Australia - Vic on Sunday 15 March is the perfect antidote.
It's easy to join the movement and you don't have to pound the pavement, you can simply enjoy a leisurely stroll around the Tan Track at Melbourne's beautiful
Royal Botanic Gardens . Get your
tickets online and
Melbourne Food and Wine Festival will donate 5% to Diabetes Australia, Victoria branch. Select your preferred start time when booking and register on the morning from 7am to join hundreds of Melburnians bringing new meaning to the expression, 'breky on the run.'
Staggered starts will begin at 8.30am, all-ages activities such as yoga will help you to warm up and cool down, and five healthy pit-stops en-route will give you nutritious breakfast choices. Lifestyle sessions will also be on offer before and after the event to help keep you motivated and on-track to achieve your long-term health and fitness goals.
Diabetes Australia estimates that 280 Australians develop diabetes every day, with Type 2 the most common form, although it is largely preventable through healthy lifestyle choices. So, what are you waiting for? Lace up your runners, put the littley in the pram (kids under 4 go free) and start your day the best way with
Breakfast Around the Tan Presented by Diabetes Australia - Vic.
