The business lives in one of the oldest buildings in Daylesford and what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in atmosphere. We sat downstairs but there is an upstairs area accessed by a wrought iron circular staircase. On sunny days the courtyard would be perfect.
We had been recommended by a beer connoisseur and although it was a bit early in the morning to imbibe, I was certainly impressed by the beer menu on offer. Mainly Australian boutique beers but also some from New Zealand.
The breakfast menu not only had the usual bacon and egg fare, but some really yummy sounding, slightly out of the ordinary choices. They also use a lot of local regional produce. Here's a few examples;
