Breadtop is an Asian inspired bakery which first appeared in Australia's Eastern states and offers a range of baked goodies, from savoury through to sweet treats as well as gourmet cakes. (You can find similar bakeries in Hong Kong, China, and Singapore.)

In recent years they have come to Adelaide and the Marion store is the latest to open. Located near the Woolworths entrance of Westfield Marion, it is very convenient for those in the south!

My other half and I sampled a Seafood roll, as well as a Sausage Bun and Custard Bun. Each treat was $3 each.

We both enjoyed the food and thought the actual set up and layout is more spacious and appealing than the other Adelaide stores (which are both in the CBD). We will be back.

How interesting! I didn't realise there was a Bread Top at Marion. Although I'm generally in the CBD a lot more often, but I'll have to keep it in kind. The seafood roll and mini hotdogs are my guilty pleasures. :)

Breadtop fills a gap in the market very well with cheap and tasty snacks. However, they will never replace a good bakery product. Also, are the prices a bit higher at Marion than in the Central Market??
