What a scrumptious finding. Located on Barrack Street in Perth, Breadtop is a place to visit if you wish to taste something delicious. Walk inside to pick up your tray and tongs and soon your mouth will be watering.





Re-visiting for the second time, it still took me awhile to decide what I fancied. My eyes scrolled to the chocolate caterpillar, the cream horn, a green tea almond scroll, then back to a cocktail fish finger bun. Too many to mention, you can click here to view their website.





Fast forward ten minutes, my husband and I finally decided on the chocolate twist. At $3.10 I thought it was definitely worth it. With no added preservatives in their dough, it certainly tickled my taste buds with its light texture and luscious chocolate. Delicious! I have to mention the cinnamon twist I tried on my first visit was just as enjoyable.



Whether you prefer savoury or sweet pastry, their many varieties are sure to allure you into purchasing something. If you're not a fan of pastry, their cupcakes, muffins, biscuits, Asian sweets, cakes, or fresh bread might tempt you.

Also, take a peek at the gorgeous cakes displayed in the window. 3D cakes are also available. Although the mango gateau and triple chocolate mousse looked delicious, the strawberry tart stood out for me. Maybe next time I'll try it?



Great job to the two brothers who run the Breadtop bun empire across Australia. Founded in 2002, they opened their first Breadtop bakery in Box Hill, Victoria. Other stores in Perth are in Morley, Westfield Carousel in Cannington and Cockburn in Success. Unfortunately, online ordering isn't available in WA, although you can contact Barrack Street store on (08) 92218858. Overall, it's worth a visit and the products are reasonably priced.
