Among the various stores that are part of Gateway Building's food court in the popular Sydney Circular Quay area, Bread & Fill specialises in offering Australian food at a relatively quick pace and reasonable price. Customers have the opportunity to see how some of the dishes are prepared with a glass case showcasing their sandwiches and salads. This place was very popular with a crowd of a decent size arriving when we were there for breakfast.
The Breakfast Box is great for those wanting a "Big Breakfast" at a relatively cheap price, consisting of two fried eggs, bacon, sausage, roasted tomato, mushrooms and toast. Both the bacon and sausage were cooked just right with a delectable smoky flavour and the mushrooms were very juicy. The fried eggs had a lovely runny yolk and the slightly sweet roasted tomato did a good job of balancing out the taste of the richer ingredients. The pieces of toast were notable for coming pre-buttered to prevent them from being too dry.

For those that want something a bit healthier, The Smoked Salmon & Egg Box had smoked salmon taking the starring role. There was a generous amount of smoked salmon, which had the degree of smoked flavour we desired. Freshness was provided by baby spinach and avocado. Feta cheese was crumbled over the spinach to add a bit of a salty flavour. If you desire to add some tanginess, you can squeeze the lemon wedge provided over the salmon before eating it.

Breakfast dishes are not the only things that can be enjoyed at Bread & Fill. During lunchtime, the store switches to a café-focused menu consisting of sandwiches, roast meats and salads. Its location within the Sydney Circular Quay area, just around the corner from Marriot Hotel, makes it a convenient place for office workers, city goers and tourists looking for delicious and affordable café food.
