Brisbane rock music - both melodic and heavy
Breach Notice are a three-piece Brisbane rock band, all female, but I'd be reluctant to call them a chick band. Their rock music is a blend of melodic and heavy, and their live performance contains just the right balance between foul language and having the talent to get away with it.

It looked like their fans migrated up from The Wickham for the gig at The Tempo Hotel for their performance at Sunday Sessions, organised by Heart Grenade Productions. Breach Notice are Katty Baxter on guitar and vocals, Skye Marsh on drums, and Jian Marsh on bass, but don't pigeon-hole them because all three members are multi-instrumentalists. I would call the genre they perform heavy / melodic rock and during the set, the lead singing part was shared between guitarist and bass player and even the drummer came out and sang a tune. As far as heavier acts go, Breach Notice come very close to the threshold of my limit, but the strong melodic influence in the music keeps it on the right side for me to enjoy.
