Join in while Brisbane goes Brazilian
If you've been living on another planet you may not have noticed that it's World Cup time and Brazilian fever is sweeping the world. Brisbane is not immune to this phenomenon, and in fact is heartily embracing its possibilities with Brazilian Nights @ Reddacliff Place. All the colour and energy of Brazil will be on show each Friday evening during the World Cup.

Come along for a range of Brazilian-inspired music, dance, food, culture and performance that's bound to warm up winter in the brightest possible way. Why should the Socceroos and all those diehard travelling football followers have all the fun?

Things will be swinging from 6pm to 11pm on Fridays 20th June, 27th June and 4th July. Here's the entertainment schedule:

6-6.30pm - DJ Chantal;
6.30-6.45pm - Capoeira boys;
6.45-7pm - DJ Chantal, La Chinita on Congas;
7-7.30pm - Brazilian dance class with Mishel;
7.30-7.45pm - Sambaliscious, Xango Show 1;
7.45-8pm - DJ Chantal;
8-8.15pm - Sambaliscious, Xango Show 2;
8.15- 8.30pm - DJ Chantal, La Chinita on Congas;
8.30-11pm - DJ Chantal

You'll also be able to avail yourself of tantalising food from three food vans, combining Latin, African and European cuisine.

If you're seriously in the grip of football fever then you may be more at home at King George Square where you can watch loads of Cup action on the outdoor big screen with hundreds of your new best friends. There'll also be a dose of Brazil with dancing, capoeira and music. The screening schedule for the remainder of the World Cup is:

24 June, 2am Australia v Spain
9 July, 6am World Cup Semi Final 1
10 July, 6am World Cup Semi Final 2
13 July, 6am FIFA World Cup 3rd place playoff
14 July, 5am FIFA World Cup FINAL
