Bravo Trattoria is arguably one of the most authentic Italian restaurants I have been to in the recent past. Located in the busy suburb of Crows Nest which is filled with a multitude of restaurant choices, Bravo Trattoria stands out for its good food, gelato and authentic Italian flavours. The entrance to Bravo's is right beside the entrance to Woolworth's supermarket.
We were a group of 10 people with 2 kids and were very pleased with the service they offered. They set a table for us on the first level of the restaurant and we had half the section to ourselves accompanied with complete privacy. The staff is quite polite and the service is quick.
Their drink menu is not too elaborate but has a few granitas and frappes (drinks with gelato) that make a good choice. Their food menu is quite long , so a word of caution there as it takes a while to go through the list and make a choice.
Their bruschetta and antipasti range has loads to choose from including calamari & mussels in tomato sauce. The pizza and pasta choices are plentiful. The pesto spaghetti was one of the group's hot favourite. Their fettuccini was also absolutely superb. My personal favourite was the ravioli. The portion sizes are very decent.
After lovely food at Bravo's, it is absolutely mandatory to leave some space for dessert, as the gelatos here are simply supreme. Most people wander around to Bravo's take away gelato after a dinner in Crows Nest. If you can't make up your mind of the gelato, try Coppa universale or coppa jumbo. It's made up of one scoop of each gelato flavour! Should be enough to satisfy a large group.
The prices at the restaurant are reasonable. On an average it might cost $70 for a dinner for 2 adults. Bravo's is surely a great place to socialise with friends and have amazing food & gelato.
