Presented by Garnier, Carrie Bickmore (Australian Gold Logie award winning television presenter on The Project - Network Ten) is officially launching her new foundation Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer in a big way with Brain Beats 2015. She's throwing a massive party akin to a music festival which will feature top British singer/songwriters Ed Sheeran and Passenger, as well as Australia's Vance Joy and Bliss N Eso, and a DJ set by Rudimental. Radio personality Tim Blackwell will host the festival with special appearances by comedians Dave "Hughesy" Hughes and Peter Helliar. The date, time and place is as below, so clear your diaries for what is set to be the party of the year.
This is a licensed over 18 event and there are only 1200 tickets available. General admission tickets are $395 which includes all entertainment, food and beverage throughout the event. VIP tickets are $595 and includes premier food and beverages in an exclusive area in front of the main stage. Celebrities will be in attendance in this area, and you'll get a gift bag courtesy of Garnier. All proceeds will go towards brain cancer research.
I'm sure you all remember that iconic moment when Carrie donned a blue beanie during her speech when she won the Gold Logie this year. She highlighted the devastating impact of brain cancer and the need for increased research funding. This is a cause close to Carrie's heart, having lost her late husband Greg to this disease.
She's talked the talk and now she's walking the walk with what is going to be an annual fundraiser. The goal here is to hit a million dollars. Even if you can't afford to attend the event, you can make a donation through the same 'link'. For such a worthy cause, imagine if the rest of the population of Australia not attending the party just gave a $1 each, how many millions that would raise. That would be the dream, so dig deep.
