A Quiet Park To Call Your Own If You're Lucky
Stumbling across an empty public park can be a pretty rare thing on any given weekend, especially on a beautiful, sunny day, and especially on the Sunshine Coast. So it came as a bit of a shock for me to find Bradman Avenue Foreshore totally unoccupied on a clear and bright day recently. Come and kick back under some shady trees by the Maroochy River in one of the most underrated parks in the region.
Bradman Avenue Foreshore - all yours to enjoy on your own if you're lucky
There's an abundance of trees here offering plenty of shade from the sun - making it the more than ideal place for a picnic. I could quite easily picture myself having a feed then taking a nap under any of the luscious trees, it was just that peaceful. The park is also a great place to ride your bike. A windy track has been laid out throughout the grounds.
Those with a couple of restless rugrats will find a playground at the northern end of the park. Don't get overly excited though, all they've got here is a swing set and a seesaw. This could be a good area to set up for the day. There were plenty of picnic tables (including an undercover one) available as well as two electric barbecues just waiting to cook you a classic Australian sausage sizzle. The park toilets are also located nearby.
