A number of obstacles are placed along the track, although many have options that vary the challenge level offered, and the more difficult ones have ride-arounds.

There are also a number of mini-street signs installed, and the track introduces kids to the rules of the road, such as which side of the road we drive on in Australia.

A short walk over the hill leads to more new playground areas. The first is the fabulously imaginative Magic Forest.

This superb nature-play area has a sandpit to dig in, and a pebble pathway to explore as it leads beneath trees and past logs (ideal for parents and caregivers to rest on!), taking children on a treasure hunt for fairies and other magical creatures, and ending at a throne.

Across the parklands are a number of picnic tables, with the one closest to the playground set beneath a shelter.

There are also two outdoor gym areas set along the concrete pathway (that is ideal for kids who like to ride or scooter!). The first is set close to the playground, and the second near to the Magic Forest. The placement of this equipment means adults can get a workout while their children play as well!

Finally, four-legged family members are not forgotten at Bradbury Park with a large, fenced, off-leash area set down the hill from the bike and scooter track. This area has water fountains with doggy drinking bowls, as well as seating set beneath the shade of large trees.
