It's a boy's country out there... Or at least that's how it feels. Name calling, childish behaviour and silly little songs may not be great for day-to-day life, but take that child like wonder and apply it to comedy? Baby, you've got a stew going!

features the comedic stylings of Nick Carr, Vaughan Davies & Doony. Three country boys braving Bris-Vegas to offer a countrified comedic occasion. Goonshine for all.

Nick Carr has not been on the Brisbane stand-up comedy scene for very long... but in that small time, he's made a big impact. For the last nine months Nick has been omnipresent on the local scene, with a natural affable aura that has audiences warming to him before he's even opened his mouth. Since becoming a 2017 Qld Raw Comedy State Finalist, Nick has opened for Kinne Live, hosted a strip club's 3rd birthday and performed at the 2017 Koh Samui International Podcast Festival Gala. For anyone else, that might seem a bit odd, but for Nick, it all feels just about right.



Vaughan Davis hails from the mountains of Barkers Vale near Nimbin, but don't hold that against him. He's the sort of person who was raised to smoke his greens and not eat them, which accounts for his curly hair. He's one-half of the duo "The Barkers Vale Brothers", whose name is as literal a description as it gets. He brings some musical accompaniment to the set in the form of his guitar, so prepare yourself for an earworm.

Finall, there's Doony. Like Prince and Madonna before him, he needs just one name to be recognised. He's got a laid back approach that loves a good pun. Be prepared for some cheeky wordplay, and storytelling that feels like a chat with an old mate.
He's a seasoned performer having done gigs closer to home and further afield and is the perfect person to get lost in a good chuckle with.

With a line-up like this for Bris Funny Fest, these out-of-towners are sure to make a big impression on them city-folk. Be prepared for a good laugh, you're entering .
