Box Hill Central at 1 Main St, Box Hill celebrates the second biggest date on the Chinese calendar in a spectacular way, filled with festive activities and cultural performances.

Beginning on Tue 3 Sep, the Festival will be celebrated right up till Sun 6 Oct 2019. That gives you plenty of photo opportunities and selfies with the Moon and Earth Installation, including a GIANT 6m Hanging Moon. Following are the celebrations and activities with most of it centring on 7 September, the date of the Moon Festival.

3 Sep - 6 Oct - Giant Moon Activation and Photo Opportunity

5 - 14 Sep (11am-4pm) - Oriental Merchant Lucky Tree Gift with Purchase

7 Sep MELBOURNE MOON FESTIVAL (11am-8pm) - Official Opening & Lion Dance (12-1pm); Dance Performance (1-1.30pm); Local Community Group Performance (1.30-2pm); Cultural Performances (2-5pm); singing Performances (5-8pm)

7 & 8 Sep (11am-4pm) - Oriental Merchant Dumpling Master Class

7 Sep & 13 Sep (11am-3pm) - Story Telling at the Children's Playground

A great event for the whole family, join in for this amazing cultural event. Box Hill has an array of Asian restaurants to choose from to stop for a bite to eat after the celebrations and shopping, and Box Hill Central's Food Court has quite a few great eateries as well without having to leave the shopping centre.
