[ADVERT]Bowral, only about an hour and half's drive from Sydney, is a wonderful place to visit for the day or to spend the weekend. It's gorgeous all year round and there's plenty in Bowral to do and see.

There are many different activities, gorgeous places to stay, and enticing cafes to choose from.

On the second Saturday of every month, Bowral hosts its fresh produce Farmer's Market.

A farmer's market is the best place to find fresh and delicious produce. And where better than in the heart of the Southern Highlands?

At the Bowral Farmer's market you'll find an array of homegrown and homemade goodies including fresh herbs, vegetables, honey and sauces, baked goods and even handmade goods such as jewellery, scarves and bowls.

The markets are definitely worth a visit if you are planning a day or weekend trip to Bowral.

If you are staying for the weekend, there are also markets held in Berrima on the second Sunday of each month. The Berrima Markets, held in the Berrima Public School, house handmade items including stationary, jewellery, clothing and more.

Berrima, just a short drive from Bowral, is a quaint country town definitely worthy of a visit whether the markets are on or not. You'll find cafes and stores along the main street in cute, old fashioned cottages.
